“Flying Fish” is my first contribution to Illustration Friday. This week’s topic was “Drifting”. Deep-sea dwellers emerge again, unexpected. This is one idea I intend to develop further.

“Letece ribe” je moj prvi doprinos sajtu Illustration Friday. Ovonedeljna tema je bila “Plutanje”. Stanovnici dubokih mora ponovo iskacu, neocekivani. Ovo je jedna ideja koju nameravam dalje da razvijam.

I don’t have a good excuse for such a long absence form my blog…I could say I got sidetracked, or had too much work…but that wouldn’t be true. I just switched off for a while, I guess :) Thank you all who still visit my blog from time to time…hope I’ll get back on track and post here more regularly. I miss the feedback ;)
Anyway, this is the only comic I’ve completed…so far :) It is a 3-page story, written by my friend Borivoje Grbic, an awesome artist who’s also very good at writing scripts and adapting stories for comics at the same time. There are no sketches/pencil roughs for this story, it is done entirely in Illustrator & PS…I really enjoyed the efficiency.  

This is an experiment in digital painting.  I think it’s appropriate to post it at this time of year, since it so”green”…Happy Springtime everyone!:)

For a while, I was really into a fantasy character called Drizzt…to quote Wiki: “Drizzt Do’Urden is a fictional character in the Dungeons & Dragons-based Forgotten Realms setting”…for whoever would like to know more about him, the net is full of info:) What I found fascinating about Dark Elves is their “color cheme”: black or very dark skin, red or yellow eyes (because they live beneath the surface), and white hair…I still find such “racial diversity” inspiring :D
This is my female version of Drizzt (could be his cousin:))…
